Presto enters Portugal with the acquisition of leading Portuguese Fire Safety company Segmon, establishing a platform for growth in Portugal

The acquisition of Segmon means that Presto has established a platform in Portugal. Segmon will continue to operate under its own brand and management team, while gaining access to the Group’s broader expertise and collaborating with other Presto companies, including Eurofesa in Spain, to serve customers with operations across borders. Adding Segmon to the Presto Group will continue to drive organic growth across even more markets, while consolidating existing and new customers, who will benefit from an even stronger specialist in active fire safety.

Founded in Coimbra in 2006 by Mr. Fernando Luís, Segmon is a company specialized in the supply, installation and maintenance of fire safety systems, including fire extinguishers, fire detection, extinguishing systems, fire hydrant networks, emergency lighting and gas detection, as well as fire safety projects, self-protection measures and safety training. Headquartered in Coimbra with branches in Viseu, Caldas da Rainha and Faro, Segmon serves medium and large customers nationwide across a wide range of sectors. The company has built a strong reputation based on technical quality and long-term maintenance agreements with its customers.

Fernando Luís, CEO and co-owner of Segmon, together with co-owners Paulo Vasconcelos and Pedro Grilo, will continue to lead the company and will play an active role in Presto’s further development in Portugal.
