STOCKHOLM, June 2, 2026
The acquisition reinforces Presto’s position as a comprehensive partner in industrial safety and training services and significantly expands its training offering, particularly in Northern Finland.
POHTO Oy is known for its strong brand as a trainer for large industrial companies. The company's personnel possess deep expertise in the processes, organizations, and operating models of various industrial sectors—expertise that directly supports Presto's strategy to be a comprehensive supplier of safety and training services for its customers.
"POHTO is a respected player in its field, and their expertise complements our offering excellently. The acquisition is in line with Presto's strategy and strengthens our role as an industrial partner throughout Finland, but especially in Northern Finland, where POHTO has a strong foothold," says Tero Roivainen, Country Manager of Presto.
With POHTO joining Presto, existing customers will gain access to even more comprehensive training services. The offering is expanding to include safety, inspection, and maintenance training across various industrial sectors, allowing customers to receive more services from a single partner.
"In the future, POHTO's customers will benefit from Presto's extensive range of safety training and services. With the merger, customers of both companies will have access to a more versatile and comprehensive service package that covers the essential safety and training needs of industrial customers," says Timo Räinä, CEO of POHTO Oy.
Jari Kortelainen, Director of M&A, comments: "For our customers, this means concrete added value: in the future, they will receive even more comprehensive training services from a single partner. We are able to serve our industrial customers with deeper industry expertise than before."
As part of the acquisition, the entire staff of POHTO Oy will transfer to Presto as existing employees. The personnel's strong substantive expertise is one of the key sources of value in this acquisition, and Presto is committed to further developing this expertise and the training offering for industrial customers.
"We are very pleased to welcome POHTO's skilled professionals to our team. Their experience in various industrial operating environments is invaluable to us, and together we can build even stronger training expertise to support Finnish industry," says Tero Roivainen.
